When you contact or book, MixProTools may receive your name, email address, project brief, technical metadata, uploaded audio and information needed to prepare or perform the requested work.

Browser tools

Tools explicitly labelled as local analyse audio in your browser. Their source audio is not uploaded by that tool. Booking is different: files you deliberately attach are uploaded to private server storage.

Browser storage and cookies

MixProTools’ own scripts do not set cookies. They use your browser’s local storage and session storage for a few site functions:

• How you found us (local storage, kept for up to 90 days): the date and first page of your first visit, the referring website (domain only, never the full address), any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), and the most recent campaign tags if you later return through a different campaign link.
• This visit (session storage, cleared when you close the tab): the pages you view on this site (up to the last 20), whether you used Pre-Flight, and which tools and Notes articles you opened.
• Form delivery (local storage): if a form without attached files cannot be delivered because of a connection problem, a copy of what you entered is kept in your browser and retried automatically for up to 7 days. It is removed as soon as delivery succeeds.
• Pre-Flight unlock (local storage): the email address you enter to unlock a Pre-Flight score is remembered on this device so you are not asked again.
• Booking confirmation (session storage): a booking reference and confirmation time are remembered in the current tab so the thank-you page can show the successful outcome for up to 30 minutes. No name, email or uploaded audio is stored in that confirmation record.
• Intro animation (session storage): a note that the homepage intro has already played.

The how-you-found-us and this-visit records contain no name or contact details. They are sent to MixProTools only when you submit a form, and are then stored with that enquiry so MixProTools can see which pages, tools, articles or campaigns led to it. You can remove all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site against abuse.

Site analytics

MixProTools uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, which free tools are opened, and whether bookings and sign-ups are completed.

Advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are turned off. Google Analytics records page views, including the page address and any campaign tags in it, and site events such as tool use, completed bookings or sign-ups, scrolling, clicks on links to other sites, site searches, video plays and file downloads. It also receives technical information when a page loads, such as device and browser type, the referring site and approximate location derived from your IP address. It may set first-party analytics cookies. The contents of forms, including your name, email address, messages and uploaded audio, are not sent to Google Analytics.

For visitors Google identifies as being in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are not used. Google may still receive basic cookieless measurement signals when a page loads. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Use and sharing

Information is used to answer enquiries, quote, perform and deliver work, understand which pages and tools lead to enquiries, maintain security and meet legal obligations. MixProTools collects only what is needed for those purposes. Personal information is not sold. Service providers such as hosting, security, email and content delivery (Google Fonts and the unpkg script library network, which receive your IP address and browser information when they deliver files to your browser) may process limited data needed to operate the site. Google processes the analytics data described above.

Request access, correction or deletion by emailing [email protected]. Some records may be retained where needed for security, accounting, dispute resolution or legal compliance.
